Pauline Walker

Pauline Walker, 89, of Paducah, former longtime resident of Metropolis passed away on Thursday, November 03, 2016 at Southgate Nursing and Rehab in Metropolis.

Mrs. Walker was a homemaker, member most recently of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church, and member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis for over 60 years. She was formerly employed by Humma’s Drug Store, Massac Memorial Hospital, and First Baptist Church in Metropolis. She was a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years and a former chairperson of the Massac County Republican Women.

Surviving are one daughter, Debra Riddle of Vienna; two sons, Tim Walker and wife Eva of Paducah; Drew Walker and wife Tracy of Metropolis; eight grandchildren, Krista (Paul) Huckelberry of Vienna, Rebecca (Silas) Mercer of Asheboro, NC, Paul Kelly (Michelle) Hunsaker of Vienna, Kelli (Steve) Mills of Paducah, Bethany (Todd) Jones of Paducah, Raymond (Samantha) Walker of Metropolis, Evan Paige Walker of Carbondale, Keaton Walker of Edmond, OK; 13 great-grandchildren, Josef and Carissa Huckelberry, Silas, Sabrina, Abbey, and Jade Mercer, Maleia Lanier, Maia Hayden, Kelsey and Kamryn Hunsaker, Ashton Kirkham, Ansley Mills, and Raymond K. Walker; one great-great grandchild, Lillie Huckelberry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward Dean Walker; her parents William John “Jack” Robinson and Anna Mae Parkin Robinson; one sister, Mildred (Marvin) Mullinix; one brother, Billy Robinson, one son-in-law, David Riddle; one brother-in-law, Bill Hudgens; and one niece, Charnell Woefel.

Funeral services will be at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Metropolis with the Rev. Brant Lyon and Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
