Eddie Dunning, 61, of Smithland, died on Thursday evening, October 5th, 2017 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Eddie was a self-employed farmer, and a design/build contractor. Eddie announced and emceed for many events such as the Monster Jam, PIR racetrack, multiple tractor pulls, and the Octoberfest in Smithland.
Eddie was a member of First Baptist Church in Paducah, the Masonic Lodge #138 in Smithland, and a board member of the Burna Fire Department.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rose; one son, Chad (Kim) Belcher of West Paducah; one daughter, Ann Rose (David) Burch of Nashville, TN.; four grandchildren, Owen, Maggie, and Brody Burch, and Oaklyn Belcher; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Laura Roberts Dunning; and two step brothers.
A Celebration of Life service will start at 1pm on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Masonic Rites will be observed first at 1pm. Friends may visit the family from 10am until the service hour of 1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to encourage you to make memorial contributions in his honor to the American Cancer Society as he was a melanoma cancer survivor.
