A.L. Doughty, 68, of Paducah passed away March 24, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
Mr. Doughty was a member of Southland Baptist Temple. He was a very special husband, loving father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.
Mr. Doughty is survived by his wife of fifty years, Kay Doughty; three daughters, Debbie and husband Mark Moore of Kevil, Pam and husband Barry Pryor of Lowes, and Lisa and husband Cliff Mitchell of Franklin, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jacob Doughty of Reidland, Christopher Mitchell of Lexington, Tanner and wife Amanda Hooker of Paducah, and Scarlett Mitchell of Franklin, Tenn.; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Hooker. He is also survived by one brother, Edward Doughty of St. John, Ind., and several nieces and nephews. His five grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by a very special granddaughter, Jessica Nicole, who was our sunshine. He was also preceded in death by his parents, A.L. Doughty Sr. and Sarah McDaniel Doughty; one brother, Harold Doughty; and two sisters, Audrey Lee Moore and Annie Marie Walker.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at Lindsey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Council and the Rev. Topper Council officiating.
