Alan Russell ,61, of Kevil died on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Alan was a lifelong Kentucky resident from Ballard county. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in political science and business from Murray State University in 1981. Alan was self-employed with a vacuum cleaner business for over 39 years. Well-read and widely traveled Alan was a beautiful person and wonderful husband, father and friend. He will be very missed.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Russell; one son, Travis Layne Russell; two daughters, Sara Rose Tapp (Chad Tapp) and Lauren Michelle Arnold (Aaron Lee); two brothers, Aubrey Ray Russell and Wayne Russell; one sister, Nancy Russell; one grandson, Bjorn Kenneth Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Russell and Ruby Russell; one brother, Mike Russell

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the funeral home.
