Ali Nicole Long, age 19
Ali gained her angel wings on Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home in Paducah with her mother and father by her side. Ali was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in July 2011 but continued to live life to the fullest. She was a cheerleader all through her high school years and maintained an A/B average even while undergoing chemo and radiation. She was also the last Heath High School Football Homecoming Queen her senior year and graduated with her class in 2013. Ali enjoyed spending time with her friends, going out to eat and shopping.
She is survived by her parents, Phyllis Long of Paducah; and Rene and Robbin Long of West Paducah; her siblings, Chelsea Long, Ariel Long and Eli Livesay, all of Paducah; and her special siblings, Cherika Johnson, Jessica Bradford and Mackenzie Harbison, all of Paducah, and Skyler Downs of Ledbetter.
She is also survived by her grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Long of Metropolis; and John and Fern Livesay of Brookport, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Special thanks to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital doctors and staff and Lourdes Hospice.
