Alice Walker

Alice Walker, 89, of Paducah took her place in heaven on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in Murfreesboro, TN.

Alice was born in Newbern, TN on May 1, 1926 to her parents Thomas Jefferson Turner and Willie D. Fish Turner. She was the youngest of eight children who have all preceded her in death. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Leroy (Chubby) Walker who also preceded her in death.

Alice was an active member of Lone Oak Church of Christ where she worked in the nursery every Sunday morning for 44 years and she was proud to say that she held the title of President of Paducah Singles Club.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Janice (David) Seibel of Akron, OH, Ronnie (Linda) Walker, Paducah, KY, Vickie (Benny) Reed, Murfreesboro, TN, Debi (Rick) Mason, Eddyville, KY, and Tonya (Mike) White, Paducah, KY.

She was the proud grandmother to Robin (Mike) Rawling, Akron, OH, Nicole Moretz, Akron, OH, Todd (Christie) Walker of Paducah, Timothy (Christy) Walker of Paducah, Ashley (Eric) Lusk of Murfreesboro, TN, Paige (Garrett) Venable of Memphis, TN, Amanda (Shane) Turner of Paducah, Michael (Jenny) Crouch of Gainesville, GA, Brian (Amy) Crouch of Paducah, Leslie (Ryan) Nall of Owensboro, KY and Megan White of Nashville, TN

Her legacy lives on in her great-grandchildren, Eddie and Nicholas Rawling, Hope Moretz, Austin and Zachary Walker, Ethan Walker, Drew and Sarah Claire Lusk, Clay and Cade Turner, Walker Crouch, soon to arrive Asher Crouch, Hattie and Mae Alice Nall.

Visitation will be from 8:00am to 10:00am on Friday, March 25, 2016 in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Garden located at 6965 Old US Hwy. 45, Paducah, KY.

Graveside services will take place at 12:00pm on Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
