Anthony Thomas McGroarty

Anthony Thomas McGroarty, 81, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospice in Paducah.

Tony was born in Tamaqua, PA on September 8, 1941, to John McGroarty and Mary Zupko McGroarty. He was a teacher for over 45 years for Lone Oak High School and St. Mary School System. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and member of the American legion. He was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid outdoorsman and fly fisherman.

Surviving by several cousins, Dean (Debbie) Daderko who was like a brother; his God Daughter, Annie Zurn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and many cousins.

Memorial services will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Thomis officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 1:00pm to service hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
