Arlene Gillespie

Arlene Marie Gillespie, 81, of Paducah, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Baptist Health.

Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She never met a stranger and was a bright, kind soul who had an impact on those that she met. Arlene was very devout in her faith. She had a heart for ministry and spent nearly 35 years sharing the word of the Lord. She was a member of World Harvest Church of Paducah.

Arlene is survived by two children, Karen (Mark) Kellenberger and Jeff (Tabitha) Gillespie; five grandchildren, Melissa (Carl) Helton, Jennifer (Derick) Tucker, Hayvin Gillespie, Brayden Knight, and Camden Choat; six great-grandchildren, Cristopher, Elizabeth, Audrey, Elijah, AJ, and Eric; and several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Preceding Arlene in death is her husband of 39 years, Albert F. Gillespie; her parents, Carl and Alice Anderson; her twin sister, Marlene Anderson; and two brothers, Norman Anderson and Arthur Anderson.

A funeral service for Arlene will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at World Harvest Church at 12:00 pm with Dr. Chris Cody officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, August 5 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home or Saturday, August 6, from 11:00 am to service hour at World Harvest Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to World Harvest Church.
