Barbara Nell (Morris) O'Brien

Barbara Nell O’Brien, 80, of Paducah passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Lourdes Hospital.

Mrs. O’Brien was formerly an auxiliary nurse and homemaker. She attended Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed walking at the mall.

Surviving are seven children, Pam (Jody) Johnson of Albany, NY, Kim (Dan) Gills of Mesa, AZ, Billy (Angie) Meadows of Kevil, Debbie (Jeff) Wilke of Chicago, IL, Julie (Bob) Schmitt of Chicago, IL, William O’Brien Jr. (Lisa) of Chicago, IL, and Jon (Megan) O’Brien of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Bill O’Brien Sr.; her son, Terry Wurth; and her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Dale Morris and Jean Ann Morris. Her parents were Henry and Virginia Morris.

Memorial service will be at 4:00pm on Saturday, January 20, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Bud Russell officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 3:00pm to service hour at the funeral home.
