Berthie Jane (Scurlock) Alexander

Berthie Alexander, 81, of Unionville, IL died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Berthie formerly worked at the 45 Restaurant in Brookport and was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookport.

Surviving are her two sons, Eric (Angela) Alexander of Unionville and Keith (Kelly) Alexander of Paducah; two grandsons, Austin Alexander and Cody (Hannah) Harris both of Brookport; three great grandchildren, Camden, Harlan, and Keller Harris of Brookport, IL.; one sister, Norma (Lyle) Harris of Brookport; one brother-in-law, Roy Followell of Plainfield, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Dickie” Alexander; one son, Bobby Joe Alexander; her parents, Estle and Lula Belle Scurlock; three sisters, Mary Windhorst, Daisy Boggs, Ruby Followell; two brothers, Norman Scurlock and James Scurlock; and three nephews, Ricky Windhorst, Benjamin Scurlock, and Stephen Scurlock.

Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Brookport with the Rev. David “Buck” Siere officiating. Burial will follow at Pell Cemetery in Brookport.

Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Saturday at the church.
