Bertie Lee Tilford, 92 of West Paducah passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Maple Manor Health Care Center in Greenville, KY.
Mrs. Tilford was born in Grahamville on August 12, 1918. She and her husband Jewel owned and operated J.R. Tilford Excavating until his death in 1989. She was a member of Bethel Christian Church in Kevil.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynette (Waymon) Jones of Greenville; four grandchildren, Roger (Jan) Lynn, Janet (Dewayne) Ray, Donna (Guy) Smith, and David (Heather) Jones; as well as several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel R. Tilford; her parents, Atlas and Ida Bradford; an infant son, Rodger Lee; one daughter, Arlene Rodgers; sisters Eva, Ava, and Virgie; and her brothers, Rolley, Carlas and Ocie Bradford.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Bro. Keith Tilford officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery at McKendree Church.
Friends may call from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
