Betty Gene Solomon, 81, of O’Fallon, Mo., passed away on Sunday, April 26, in St. Peters, Mo.

Born in Paducah, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jewel Herbert and Cledie Vandergrift Gann Pate and the wife of the late Charlie Ray Solomon, who passed away in 1990.

She is survived by her children, David (Aileen Grace) Solomon of Hanahan, S.C., Kathy Jean (John) Rundel of Stafford, Va., Dennis (Nancy) Solomon of Hanahan, S.C., Michael (Tina) Solomon of O’Fallon, Mo., and Beth (Olen) Brodhacker of Alton, Ill., as well as three sisters, Mary (Rudy) Qualls of Paducah, Martha (Dan) Thompson of Debeque, Colo., and Patricia Pate of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday, May 1, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with funeral services at 4 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, with Rev. Lee Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Kenton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, Mo.
