Billy Joe Farmer, 66 of Symsonia passed away at 8:42 am Sunday, May 1, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Farmer was a retired carpenter and a dedicated father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Jerry Farmer; two sons, Timmy Farmer of Grand Rivers and Anthony Farmer of Symsonia; four daughters, Tammy Hogue of Paducah, Jenny Trout of Metropolis, Tonya Lynn of Paducah, and Billie Joe Farmer of Symsonia; one brother, Mark Farmer of Symsonia; eleven grandchildren, Breanne Farmer, Hunter Farmer, Faith Ann Shields, Anthony Hogue, Shelby Farmer, Briana Trout, Holly Jones, Darian Jones, Braden Jones, Misten Farmer and Christina Farmer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Kathleen Farmer; three brothers, Curtis Eddie, James Oscar and Danny Farmer; and five sisters, Betty Velt, Barbara Thompson, Carolyn Baker, Sandy Gossett, and Cathy Farmer.
Services will be at 12:00 pm Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery in West Paducah.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
