Bill “B.G” Waid, 79, of Paducah died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home.
B.G. loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was the owner of B.G. Waid Construction Company and Big John Tree Transplanting Company. He was a skilled masonry and concrete contractor, who developed the JoAnn Estates subdivision, as well as many others. He enjoyed riding dune buggies, socializing with his friends, and watching the birds in the trees.
He is survived by the Love of his life, Beverly Wallace of Paducah; his children, Connie Holley (Bill) of Paducah, Brian Waid of Paducah, Denise Sanders of Paducah, and Duane Sanders of Gage, KY; one sister, Jean Cook of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Christopher Droge, Taylor Reynolds, Jacob Waid, Whitney Cumbie, Zach Rodgers, Wesley Sanders, and Tonya Sutton; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eva (Cornwell) Waid; five brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Lindsey Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
