Blanca Rosa Fiser, 99, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
Blanca was born in 1922 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She met her husband, Van Fiser, while he was serving in the military during the World War II. The two married and came to Kentucky to start their life together. Blanca was a lifelong homemaker whose heart belonged to her family. She was gifted with creativity, especially when it came to needlework. She spent numerous hours throughout her life sewing and quilting. Blanca had a strong appreciation for antiques that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite time of year, along with the decorations and family time that came with it. She also loved being out in the garden, where she was able to create a space of beauty all around her home. Blanca and her husband, Van, loved to travel. She was of the Methodist faith.
Blanca is survived by four children, Jeanette (Sammie) Bone, Tony (Sunshine) Fiser, Linda (Stephen) Wilkes, and Douglas (Libby) Fiser; one brother, Jorge Rosa of Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Blanca in death by her husband, Van Fiser; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Blanca will be cremated and a graveside will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
