Bruton (Anderson) Wood

Bruton Anderson Wood, 94, of Paducah, died Saturday Morning, September 2nd, 2017 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Mrs. Wood was a lifelong homemaker and a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband of 76 years, Harold Edward Wood; two sisters, Jean Carolyn Anderson Simmons of Murray, and St. L Anderson Kotlar of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Beatrice Gordon Anderson; two brothers, Cecil Anderson, and Lewis Anderson Jr.; and three sisters, Lou Ela Anderson, Geraldine Anderson, and Elwanda Anderson Cox.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, September 7th, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00noon at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah. Funeral services will start at Noon following visitation on Thursday with Pastor Andrew Clausen officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to The Broadway Church of Christ Global Preacher Training Ministry, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
