Catherine Vaughn

Catherine “Kitty” Vaughn, 87, of Paducah, passed away Thursday March 20th at her home.
Mrs. Vaughn was a lifetime Homemaker and an active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church of Paducah.
Some of her favorite things to do were gardening and reading, but she mostly enjoyed her longtime volunteering at Lourdes Hospital and The American Quilters Society of Paducah. She was Volunteer of the Year at Lourdes Hospital in 1999 & a lifetime member of their volunteer organization.
She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews, Mary (William) Wilkens Weimar of Baton Rouge, La., JoAnn (Theodore) Katsorchis of Mandeville, La., Joseph Wilkens of Slidell, La., Patricia (Ronald) Wilkens McQueen of Woodstock, Ga., Teresa Wilkens Allison of Mandeville, La., Katherine (Richard) Wilkens Mastela of Bolinbrook, IL., Nelson (Marilyn) Wilkens III of Carlinville, Il., Lynn (Calvin) Wilkens Huffman of Clever, Mo., Robert Wilkens of Antioch, Tn., & Linda Marie Wilkens of Pooler, Ga., three sisters in law, Bernice S. Wilkens, Janet Wilkens, and Rebecca Vaughn and her three children, Rebecca Vaughn Simmons, Susan Vaughn Dirlon, and William R. Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Vaughn; her parents, Nelson and Marie Bean Wilkens; two brothers, Nelson Wilkens II and Frederick Wilkens; and one sister in law, Helen Austin Wilkens.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Paducah at 10am Saturday. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church of Paducah, Ky.
Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
