Cecil Carner

March 22, 1930 — January 15, 2015

Cecil E. Carner, 84 of Marshall Couny, KY passed away at 11:15 am Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Cecil was born March 22, 1930 in Caldwell County, Kentucky. He served our country during the Korean War; and retired from the P &L Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall County, where he served as a Deacon. Cecil also served at First Baptist Church in Paducah for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Doom Carner; one son, Tim (Lindee) Carner of Marshall County; one brother, James S. (Edith) Carner of Princeton; two grandchildren, Audree and Austin Carner of Marshall County; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many loved ones and friends.
Cecil was preceded in death by one infant brother, John Hise Carner; and one sister, Doris Ann Carner Wood. His parents were Cecil and Cleo Egbert Carner.
Graveside services will be 10:30am Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County, with Pastor Chris Moore officiating.
Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
