Claude Raymond Beverly, born August 6, 1930, passed away November 22, 2023 at Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation in Paducah, KY.

He was a proud graduate of Berea College in Kentucky where he studied physics. He worked at Union Carbide/Martin Marietta. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paducah where he taught Sunday School for decades. He spoke often of lifelong friends from Berea, Union Carbide and First Baptist Church. He was a caring father and husband. He treasured the years he spent traveling with his beloved wife Annabelle in their retirement years.

He is survived by his children, Terry Beverly Harris and husband Robert, and David Beverly and wife Rhonda. Also grandchildren, Ginny Harris, Nicolas Beverly, and Benjamin Beverly.

He is preceded in death by his wife Annabelle, his parents Claude and Virginia Beverly, and infant grandson Ryan Beverly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Berea College or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will be at 9:00 am on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, KY with services to follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.

Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
