Claude Chaney, 86, of Kevil, met his heavenly reward on Sunday October 1st, 2023 at his daughters home with family by his side.
Born January 29, 1937 in Estill co. Ky, he boosted of hunting on the mountain for whatever his family wanted to eat.
He married the love of his life, Betty Jean Davis on May 24, 1958. Together, they had four children, three he is survived by, Claudette Chaney of Paducah, Greg Chaney of Paducah, and Rhonda Chaney Beringer including Son in Law Charles Beringer of Kevil, Ky.; his grandchildren, Rachael and Robyn Bickerstaff, and his great grandchildren Brandon and Briah Cook, all who he loved very much.
Mr. Chaney worked for the papermill industry, first 11 years at Kimberly Clark in Ohio, then 31 years at Westvaco in Wickliffe, KY.
Mr. Chaney was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Davis Chaney; his parents, Robert Elliot Chaney and Carrie White Chaney; brothers, Kenneth Chaney, Jesse Chaney; sisters Hallie Chaney, and Nadean Cole; and one son, Robert Anthony Chaney.
He had a passion for gardening but also loved fishing, hunting, boating, nature, and the occasional casino.
He served in the national guard and was involved in several historic events.
