Daisy Juanita Coleman, 82 of Paducah passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Mrs. Coleman was a retired bookkeeper at Hunter Martin and Associates. A graduate of business college, she was also a licensed cosmetologist and was employed for many years in the accounting department at the Paducah Sun Democrat.
She was a member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; as well as a friend to many others.
Surviving are her husband, Doug Coleman; one son, Ronnie (Kim) Coleman of Paducah; one daughter, Kim (Ken) Watson of Sanford, NC; six grandchildren, Josh Coleman, Zach Coleman, and Jack Coleman, all of Paducah; and Capt. Jake Watson, Nick Watson, and Kenna Watson, all of Sanford; and two great grandchildren, Cameron and MacKenzie Coleman, both of Atlanta, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Cheryl Coleman; one infant son, Steven Coleman; and eight brothers. Her parents were Herman and Beulah Dossett.
Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brandt Lyon officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour, at the funeral home.
