Daniel Alexander Bertrand, 44, of Paducah, passed away Saturday August 14. 2021 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Daniel was a hard worker who loved his job as a biomedical technician for the VA Hospital in Marion. He was a devoted, loving family man and spent his free time with his family when he wasn’t working. Daniel was selfless, he would always make sure others were cared for and had a generous heart. He spent time working charity events for Back to School, Thanksgiving, and other holidays. Daniel served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was a proud United States disabled veteran. Daniel enjoyed the outdoors and could fix anything he was able to put his hands on. He also enjoyed concerts with his wife, Stacy. Daniel is an irreplaceable man whose acts of kindness and generosity will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Stacy Bertrand; parents, Dennis and Christine Bertrand; three children, Alexander Bertrand, Matthew Bertrand, and Cidney Bertrand; two siblings, Charles Bertrand and Heather Brasfield; paternal grandma, Martha Bertrand; father-in-law, James Cozart; special cousins, Darren and Christy Crim; special friends, James and Kim Eddington, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Preceding Daniel in death are his paternal grandpa, Frank Charles Bertrand; his maternal grandparents, Clarence “Mac” and Blanche A. McDaniel; mother-in-law, Mildred E. Cozart; and brother-in-law, Willie E. LaGore.
A memorial service for Daniel will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Lindsey Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The family will then receive friends from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at their family home in Paducah. Memorial contribution can be made in Daniel’s honor to Project Pomona, a local organization that focuses on feeding those in need in Paducah.
