Danny Hicks

Danny K. Hicks, 56 of Calvert City passed away at 4:41 am on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Hicks was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church in Burna and a dedicated musician.

Surviving are two brothers, Sam (Judy) Hicks of Mounds, IL and Carlos (Becky) Avery of Waterman, IL; two sisters, Lela Hicks of West Chicago, IL and Jackie (Bill) Critchelow of Jacksonville, IL; his former wife, Cathi Rannin of Litchfield Park, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hicks; his mother, Cora “Casey” Avery; and two brothers, John Hicks and Rocky Avery.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, with Rev. Jarry Merritt officiating. Cremation will follow at Cremation Society of Paducah.

Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
