Darrel L. Wilson, 71, of Paducah, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Darrel loved his family, especially his grandbabies. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being with his friends. Darrel worked on the river as a Deckhand for ACBL for many years. He was a proud Army veteran.
Darrel is survived by four children, Leroy D. Wilson, William Wilson, Michelle Scarabin, and Ashley (Malcolm) Lewis; five siblings, Mark Ryan, Terry Wilson, Bonnie Langston, Joleen McQuiston, and Julie Raybern; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Darrel in death are his parents, Leroy Wilson and Elizabeth Jean Horner; two children, Jeannine Bruce and Andrew Wilson; one brother, Jeff Wilson; and a granddaughter, Abigail Schaefer.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:00 am at Oak Lawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at KY Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
