David Kent

David Brian Kent, 53, of Paducah died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital.
Dave was a U.S. Navy Veteran, with 32 years of Nuclear Safety related experience including 23 years at U.S. Department of Energy Sites including Fernald, Portsmouth, and Paducah. A long time ES&H manager, Dave’s unique leadership style allowed him to keep workers safe while having a calming influence in critical and high profile operations. In addition to being a friend to many, Dave was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Beckie Thomas Kent of Paducah; two daughters, Ashley Kent and Shelby Kent, both of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Chuck Kent and wife Mary of Lakeland, FL, and Mike Kent and wife Barbara of Bucyrus, OH; one sister, Jennifer Boyle and husband Lawrence of Sycamore, OH; numerous nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Willard Kent and Artice Taylor Kent.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, November 5th, 2015 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Twelve Oaks Baptist Church in Paducah.
Memorial service for Mr. Kent will start at 6:30pm Thursday at the church with Bro. Brant Lions officiating.
