David Schmertman

David J. "Ponytail" Schmertman, 55, of Metropolis, Ill. died Saturday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mr. Schmertman was a automotive mechanic and Army Veteran.
Surviving are his Father-Paul L. Schmertman of Horseshoe, N.C., 1 Son-Cory Kuehne of Rockford, Ill., 2-Daughters, Jolene Taylor of Metropolis, Tiffany Taylor of Metropolis,
2-Brothers, Jeff Williams of Metropolis, David Williams of Metropolis
3-Sisters, Kathleen Schott-Anderson of Monroe Center, Ill., Sheila Noel of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Susan Young of Paragould, Ar.
3-Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Mother-Joyce E. Schmertman and 1-Grandson.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
