David Wayne Skinner

David W Skinner, 63, of Kevil KY passed away on Feb. 12, 2024, at Mercy Health Hospital.

David was born on November 5th, 1960, in St. Louis MO to the late Elva David and Norma June Skinner.

David worked for Shawnee TVA power plant for 29 years as a Multi-skilled, Level 3 Machinist and Union Steward.

David touched countless lives with his gentle, kind and loving character . He always had a great sense of humor and most importantly, a heart of pure gold. He loved making people smile and was guaranteed to light up any room he walked into and leave a lasting impression when he walked out. He truly was one of a kind.

In his personal life, David was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend to many people.  He will be very deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Melissa (Lisa) Skinner. Daughters, Sarah Skinner and Shaina Skinner. A granddaughter, Rainey Skinner, that he brought up and loved as his own, and a new grandson, Ezra Platter which he was so incredibly proud of and eager to watch grow. Brothers, Rick Skinner and Kevin Skinner, and 2 nieces.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Morehead officiating. Burial will follow at Newton Creek Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
