Dessie Asher

Dessie Wooley Asher, 87 of Metropolis died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Southgate Health Care Center.

Mrs. Asher was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Paducah and was retired from Normandy Dress Factory.

Surviving are one brother, Rev. John Wooley of Paducah, seven nieces and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiawatha Asher, and three sisters. Her parents were Dea and Ethel Wooley.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Dr. Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will be at Mount Kenton Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, and after 1:00 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
