Detra Shea Turner

Detra Shea Turner, aged 60, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Largo, FL. 

 Born on September 3, 1963, Detra grew up in Reidland and was known for her peaceful and inviting personality. She cherished her family deeply and held a profound love for Christ and her country, often expressing her patriotism.

 Detra loved spending quality time at the beach, enjoying live music, fishing, and being surrounded by her family and pets. These simple joys brought great fulfillment to her life, highlighting her appreciation for nature and togetherness.

Detra is survived by a loving family; her son, Christopher Ryan Turner of Austin, TX; her sisters, Kimlyn Halfacre (Noah) of Murfreesboro, TN, and Debra Bradley (Steve) of Mount Dora, FL; her grandchildren, Bailey and Ryanalynn Turner of Roanoke, TX; her aunt and uncle, Sandra and Charlie Gaddis of Ocala, FL; her aunts, Jane Sparks of Ann Arbor, MI, and Verna Dill Mills of Paducah, KY; her nephews, Clayton (Bridget) Young and Alexander Young both of Paducah, KY; her cousin, Beverly Meeks of Paducah, KY; several cousins across the country; and her dear friend, Robbin Waldrep of Largo, FL 

 Detra was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Thelma Sparks, Gertrude and William Thomas Dill; her parents, Mahlon Lewis Sparks and Joann Bell; her uncle, William Thomas Dill Jr.; her aunt and uncle, Pete and Dorothy Meeks; her aunt and uncle, Geneva and Troy Evans; her uncle, Bill Sparks; her aunt and uncle, John D. and Betty Sparks; and her cousins, Tommy and Kerry Dill and Rick Meeks.

 A graveside service to honor and celebrate Detra's life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 21st at 3:00pm. 

 Friends may visit the family from 2:00pm until service hour at the cemetery.

 Her life was a testament to the power of quiet strength and loving devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
