Donald Dochniak

Donald “Don” Dochniak, 73 of Paducah, passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones Monday, July 22, 2019.

Donald was a veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a combat medic who was also a Purple Heart and Silver Star recipient. Donald was a handyman and enjoyed woodworking in his free time. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving Donald is his wife, Saundra Dochniak of Paducah; two children, Matthew Dochniak of Paducah and Ashlee Dochniak of Paducah; two grandchildren, Madalynn Dochniak and Mason Bressler; two sisters; and one brother.

Don is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Loretta Dochniak and two brothers.

Burial will take place Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky at 12 pm with Rev. Dr. Jenna Goggins officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, July 27. 2019 at the First Presbyterian church located at 200 N 7th street, Paducah Kentucky, 42001. A memorial service will follow at 11 am.
