Donald Ingram

Donald Whitney Ingram went home to be with his Heavenly Father on August 5th, 2013. He was born October 13th, 1966 in Glendale, California. He was so very loved by his mom Louise, his three sisters Jessie, Donna, and Teresa, as well as his 3 girls Jackie, Jennifer, Jessie and their mother Donna J. Ingram. He greatly loved and cherished his mother Louise Ingram Spees, and remained very close to her always. He often expressed his love and passion for God, family, and his friends. As a child, he faithfully attended Olivet Baptist Church with his family. He was later baptized at First Baptist Church in Paducah. Professionally, he was the founder of Colonial Housing in Paducah, KY and he also served for many years as the Lead Director of various Housing Foundations in both Paducah, KY and in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His passion was helping others and he volunteered in Appalachia where he helped to build and repair homes for the less fortunate. He often said that this was his "greatest accomplishment". He also selflessly volunteered during the ice storm of 2009, where he delivered supplies and food to needy neighborhood homes. He especially loved the beach and ocean, nature, all animals, birds, fishing on the lakes, and sports. His greatest passion was his family and helping others. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Don Ingram, Grandparents Charles and Lorraine Ingram, and Grandparents Lydia Marie Wade and Herbert Wade. He is survived by his mom Louise Ingram Spees, step-father Garth Spees, and sisters Teresa Hines, Donna G. Ingram, and Jessie Wood. His is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Jack, Sam, and Grace Wood, Tessa Nanny, Eric Ingram, Krista and Travis Hines, close friend Donna J Ingram, as well as two Grandson's. Donald was such a kind and loyal friend, brother, and son and he will be missed beyond words by everyone who knew him.

Funeral will be at 1:00pm on Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Strong officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.
