Donald Ray Shafter

Donald Ray Shafter, 84, of Paducah, died Thursday morning, August 18th, 2016 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Donald was a retired laborer for Polynesian Pools of Paducah. He is a member of the American Legion Post #31 of Paducah, the Bridge St. Eagles, and Victory Baptist Church of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Louise; two daughters, Sherree Ford of Paducah, and Diane Parnell of Symsonia; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Emmanuel and Ethel Marie Feagan Shafter; one brother; one sister; and one grandson.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home from 11am until 2pm. Funeral services will start at 2pm following visitation with Rev. Homer Fletcher officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
