Doris "Dottie" (Glenn) Hite

Doris “Dottie” Hite, 95, of Paducah passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Shawnee Christian Center in Herrin, IL.
Mrs. Hite was a retired school bus driver. She was a member of West End Baptist Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday School for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol (Joey) Fondaw of Creal Springs, IL; one son, Jimmie Hite of Port Sulphur, LA; four grandchildren, Jamie (LeighAnn) Dickey of Paducah, Jennifer (Ryan) Long of Johnson City, IL, Kennetha Reed of Paducah, and Jimilee (Jeff) Gentry of Paducah; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Virgil Lee Hite; and one brother. Her parents were Aaron Glenn and Daisy Ruark Glenn.
Graveside services will be at 1:30pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with burial to follow.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am-1:00pm on Sunday at Lindsey Funeral Home.
