Dorothy Mathis

Dorothy Jean Mathis, 73, of Paducah, died on Tuesday at Lourdes Hospital.
She was a homemaker and is survived by one son, Ralph Milton Mathis of Oregon, two daughters, Jeana Mathis of Mayfield and Carla Davis of Benton, and one brother, William D. Yates of Pilot Oak, as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Everett Yates and Novella Lee Warren Yates, brothers John Virgil Yates, Jake Yates, J.T. Yates, J.L. Yates, and sister, Geraldine Yates.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 11AM to Noon at the funeral home, followed by graveside services at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pilot Oak, south of Mayfield.
