Dorothy Mae Waldridge Richardson, 86 of Paducah passed away at 8:50 am Monday, October 3, 2011 at her residence.
For 30 years, Mrs. Richardson was an expert seamstress with Wahls Laundry, and shw was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and the Silent Banner Sunday School Class. She loved God and loved her children and family.
She attended the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, Ky where she met her first husband, Louis, and her second husband, Bobby.
Surviving are four daughters, Kathy (Bill) Smiley of Monkeys Eyebrow, Carolyn (Daniel) Travis of Paducah, Sue (Bill) James of Paducah, and Edie Ryan of Paducah; two sons, Carl (Jamie) Waldridge of Paducah, and Mike Richardson of Casper, WY; three sisters, Shirley Donovan of Orient, IL, Freeda Collins of Benton, and Glenda Brewer of Calvert City; two brothers, Charles Stevenson of Benton and Eddie Stevenson of Calvert City; twelve grandchildren, Bradley (Patti) Waldridge, Lana (Mark) Ramage, Tony Waldridge, Casey (Kristen) Cooper, Mandy (Brandon) Waldridge, Chris Waldridge, Ashley Epps, Josh (Crystal) Richardson, Danyell Ryan, Nicole James, Ron Davis, and Joe Davis; as well as twenty-two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lewis Waldridge and Bobby Richardson; two daughters, Brenda Lindsey and Loretta Waldridge; two sons, Randall Waldridge and John Richardson; three sisters, Ethel Lee Phelps, Alice Holder, and Mary Ann Stevenson; and three brothers, George, Melvin and Lindell Stevenson. Her parents were Walter and Dolly Stevenson.
Services will be 1 pm Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Bro. Harold Council officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm until 8pm, and after 11am Friday at the funeral home.
