Dorthea "Dee Dee" Danner

Dorthea “Dee Dee” Danner, 48, of Metropolis, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Krypton House in Metropolis.

Dee Dee, born August 29, 1973 was the beloved granddaughter of Ray and Peggy Danner of Metropolis, Illinois.

She is survived by her aunt, Dorthea A. Danner; cousins Lila Lange, Chandler Lange, and Tiana Lange of Paducah, KY, Laura (Craig) Klope, Braden (Renae) Klope, Austin (Rachel) Klope, and Makenzie Klope of Nashville, TN.

Dee Dee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Peggy Danner; her father, Danny Ray Danner; and her cousin, Joshua Raymond Lange.

Dee Dee was very loving and very loved by many. She enjoyed going to school, looking at magazines, going on outings, and spending time with her grandparents.

The family of Dee Dee would like to give a special heartfelt thanks to her extended caretaking family at Krypton for all the love and care given to her every day. The family appreciates all the extra time, effort, and all of the special things they did for her that went greatly beyond their job. Their kindness made her life so much happier.

Services for Dee Dee will be held at a later date.
