Dr. Harold Dee Craven

Dr. Harold Dee Craven, 78 of Kevil, KY.  Was called home by his heavenly father on Wednesday January 25, 2017.

Harold was born November 1, 1938 to Homer and Virginia Minton Craven.  He surrendered to preach and serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 1974.  He graduated from Mid-Continent Bible College in 1986 and Great Theological Seminary in Bowling Green, KY. in 1989.  Where he received his Masters of Theology and Doctorate in Divinity.  He graduated in 1991 with his Doctorate of Theology.

Mr. Craven retired from the Baptist ministry after 39 years and then worked in the vehicle transportation industry.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and one grandson.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary McDonald Craven of Kevil, KY.  Four daughters, Deborah Christin (Mark) of Henderson, KY.; Cherrie Poole (Ray) of Parsons, TN., Terrie Carter (Steve) of Kevil, KY. Lorie Masing (Tony), of Paducah and one son, Christopher Burton Craven of Paducah.  Grandchildren are Harold Booher, Nicholas Christian, Josh Poole, Elisha Channell, Jeremy McIntosh, Dylan Carter, Mindy Jackson, Christopher Jordon Craven and Dylan Craven.  Also, survived by ten great grandchildren.  Four sisters, Louise McDonald, Glenda Crenshaw, Janice Smith, Alice Jean Campbell.  Two brothers, Robert, and Paul Craven.  And several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 28, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Dr. Kenneth A. Brown, Dr. Wes Conner, and Rev. Steven Kirk officiating.  Interment to follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home.
