Edward Weir Crouch, 87, of Paducah, formerly of McMinnville, Tenn., passed away on October 10th, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Crouch was born in McMinnville, Tenn. And as a child lived in Chattanooga and Nashville. He graduated from West End High School in Nashville where he served as the basketball team manager and senior class president. He graduated from Bowling Green Business School ( now Western Kentucky University) with a degree in business.

He was an active member of the Episcopal Church. While a member of St. Matthew Episcopal Church of McMinnville, Tenn. He helped in the acquisition of the church’s current building and served as church treasurer and senior warden. At the time of his death he was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah.

Mr. Crouch worked as an Amoco Oil Distributor and as a pipeline contractor. Upon retiring from pipeline work, he and his wife operated Mrs. Charlesie’s House Home Day Care for 21 years.

As a young man, he was elected the Jaycees Young Man of the Year and Jaycee President. He served on the city council in McMinnville, Tn. For 4 years, served as a county commissioner in Peach County, Ga. For 4 years, and was an active 4-H leader.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlesie Crouch; three daughters, Elizabeth Torregrossa (Robert), Susan Pearsall, and Ann Davis (Ken); one son, Art Crouch (Suzy); eight grandchildren, Mary Torregrossa Walton (Justin), Anne Torregrossa, Kassie Lentz (Jared), James David, Mary Davis, Micah Crouch, Kari Crouch and Amelia Crouch; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Druella Crouch; One brother, Bill Crouch; and one sister, Ann Nimmo.

A celebration of life service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah, Ky. on October 22, 2016 at 11am. Inurnment will be in the Grace Episcopal Church Garden. The Rev. Charles Uhlick will officiate.
