Edward R. Dutch Schoborg, 74, of Paducah died at 11:45 p.m. Friday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Schoborg was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 31, where he served as a past area Vice Commander. He was an electrician and a 55 year member of IBEW Local No. 816 in Paducah. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and his computer. He loved his dog, J.J.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dean Marsh Schoborg; a daughter, Laurel Weatherford and husband Harry of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Mitzi McCoy and husband Dean of Benton; a stepson, Lyn Smith and wife Kay of Paducah; his grandchildren, Molly Chance and husband Michael of Columbia, S.C., Kalli McCoy of Benton and Tyler Smith of Lexington; a nephew, Terry Harned of Paducah; and a niece, Tracy Mitchell and husband Todd of Grand Rivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Louella English Schoborg, and a sister, Patricia Harned.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Wilson Cemetery in Marshall County with the Rev. Darvin Stom officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah.
Pallbearers will be Terry Harned, Payden Harned, Mark English, Terry Hofer, Scott Hofer and Dean McCoy.
