Edward Michael Silvey
March 17, 1937 — June 10, 2017
Edward Michael Silvey, age 80, passed away quietly, surrounded by his wife and two children on June 10 at Barkley Center in Paducah. Mr. Silvey was born on March 17, 1937 in Sterling, IL. Ed was a long time member and deacon of First Christian Church of Paducah. Ed retired after 43 years with Whayne Supply Company in 2003. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed the outdoors and 4 wheeling. His pride and joy was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Joy Lynn; two children, Vickie Lynn (Silvey) Moses of Denton, Texas and Michael Alan Silvey of Rocky Hill, Connecticut; a brother, Joe Silvey of Essex, Illinois and sister Faye Ann Baker of Farina, Illinois; three granddaughter's, Amy, Melissa and Laura; six great grandchildren, Audrey, Molly, Ashlyn, Kinsey, Jaisa, and Ryder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie (Witts) Silvey and Mary Ann (Cope) Silvey of Xenia, Illinois.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 at First Christian Church of Paducah.
