Eleanor Dockery

August 18, 1929 — February 21, 2010

Eleanor Dockery, 80, of West Paducah passed away at 1 a.m. on Sunday morning at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Dockery was a secretary for Michael’s Hardware and Arterburn’s Construction, both of Paducah. She also was a member of Lovelaceville United Methodist Church for over 65 years. She loved to read, and enjoyed knitting, but her main love in life was her family.

She is survived by one son, Bobby Ralph Dockery of West Paducah; and five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carman of Dwight, Ill., Mertice Elaine Baker of Dwight Ill., Brenda Lou Williams of West Paducah, Glenda Sue Talley of Marquette, Ill., and Linea Marie Zeilman of Palestine, Texas.

Mrs. Dockery was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Edward Watson and Cordie Marie Overby Watson; her husband, Robert Ralph Dockery; and five brothers, Carl Neal Watson, Billie Joe Watson, Robert Melvin Watson, Albert Wayne Watson and Alan Ray Watson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Lovelaceville United Methodist Church of Lovelaceville, Kentucky. Bro. Eddie Lee and Sister Vida McClure will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lovelaceville Cemetery.

Friends may call at Roth Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m., and again on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
