Emil E. Rust, 83, of Paducah, died Friday morning, September 14th, 2018 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Emil was born at home in Penny Corner KY. on December 30, 1934.
Emil was a retired steelworker with Southern Illinois steelworkers union #1899. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Paducah.
Emil was survived by one son, Larry (Marcia) Rust of Paducah; two daughters, Lisa (Mike) Monkman of Metropolis, and Tracie Troutman of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Michael Monkman of Metropolis, Emily and Ryan Summers of Paducah, Makaela Monkman of Metropolis, Alexis Troutman and Dawson Troutman of Metropolis; two great grandchildren, Rylee Summers of Paducah, and Carter Bell of Metropolis; one sister, Sue Richards; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, Clarence and Vonnie Thurston Rust; four brothers, Claude, Charles, Dan, and Ed Rust; and two sisters, Geneva Hargrove and Ethelene Cooper.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Melber, KY. starting at 2pm, with Ryan Summers officiating. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to The Community Kitchen in Paducah KY.
