Faye Weatherspoon

Faye Stone Weatherspoon, 87, of Paducah passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab.

She was a longtime member of Salvation Army Citadel Church. She served as an officer of the church, a leader of the girl guards, League of Mercy Secretary. She was a Sunday School teacher. She attended the Home League for the ladies of the church. She loved serving the Lord in any way she could, a very faithful member.

Mrs. Weatherspoon worked and retired from the Paducah Head Start as a teacher’s aide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Weatherspoon; two sons, Hiawatha Weatherspoon and Anthony Weatherspoon; one daughter, Lori France; her parents, George Oliver Stone and Alma Samuels Stone; two sisters; and two brothers.

Leaving to cherish her memories are two sons, Danny (Petula) Weatherspoon of Mayfield, KY and Franklin (Tina) Weatherspoon of Norfolk, VA; two daughters, Alma (George) Foard of Paducah and Bettye Watson of Paducah; two brothers, Franklin Stone and Donnie Stone both of Barlow, KY; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two Godchildren, Charles Garrard and Pastor Henrietta Owens very caring and filled in the gap when we the siblings could not. Mom loved theses two like they were her very own.

Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Henrietta Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
