Fernando Villarreal

Fernando “Fred” Villarreal, 61, of Paducah died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Hardmoney Baptist Church in Boaz with Bro. Faris Sahawneh officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Burkhart Cemetery in Symsonia.

Fred was a general contractor in the construction industry for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 31 and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 236 of Carol Stream, Ill. He loved to cook, he enjoyed woodworking, and he loved to spend time with his friends and family.

Fred is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carolyn; his mother, Maria Nino Villarreal; two stepsons, Troy Allen Carmon and wife Angel of Ottawa, Ill., and Rodney Wayne Carmon of Coal City, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Amanda Faye Carneal of Paducah and Lisa Marie Hamilton and husband James of La Center; one brother, Armon Villarreal and wife Darnell of Wyoming; four sisters, Hilda Vasque of St. Charles, Ill., Hermina Martinez of Burwin, Ill., Rosie Sanchez and husband Sal of Brookfield, Wis., and Stella Hernandez and husband Eddie of Elk Grove, Ill.; and 10 stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Villarreal.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Lindsey Funeral Home.
