Frances Louise (Powell) Holder

Frances L. Holder, age 74 of Metropolis, IL passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, at Massac Memorial Hospital Metropolis, Illinois. She was born in Massac Co., IL to William Omer and Daisy Aline (Davis) Powell, they preceded her in death. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist in Metropolis, IL.

Frances is survived by her three children, Marla Barham and Husband Steve; Kenneth Holder and friend Cara Little; and Lisa Carver and Husband Adam. Three grandchildren, Ashley Scott and Husband Chris, Whitney Carver, and Sydney Carver Vance and Husband Dustin; one Great-grandson, Alexander Jerry Scott; One brother, Johnny Powell and wife Pat of Vienna, IL, ½ sister, Margie Walton of Paducah, KY. ½ Brother James Paul Powell. Several nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Ralph E. Powell, Billy R. Powell, Donald L Powell, Jerry W. Powell, Robert Jr. Powell, and William P. Powell and Marshall R. (Shorty) Powell. ½ Brother Omer (Tennessee) Powell.

All friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Metropolis Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 at 10am with Brother Jordan Roach officiating.

A family reception hosted by her church family will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church of Metropolis following the committal service.

Memorial contributions may be given in her honor to the  American Heart Association.
