Frances Anita Vessels, 90 of Paducah died at 4:10am Friday, June 29, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Surviving are five sons, Donald Joseph Vessels of Boaz, Michael Eugene Vessels of Paducah, Charles Patrick Vessels of Mayfield, Kenneth Ray Vessels of Paducah, and James Walter Vessels of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Margaret Yvonne Shoulta of Paducah and Rebecca Jane West of Madisonville; one brother, Francis Eugene Hodge; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allard Vessels; one son, James Ronald Vessels; three brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter. Her parents were Elvis and Lula Hodge.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Buckman officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and Tuesday from 9:00am until 10:00am, both at Lindsey Funeral Home.
