Frank "Mack" Gardner

Frank “Mack“ Gardner ,92, of Metropolis passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Mack worked as a telephone engineer for IL Bell Systems and a member of Glendale Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, drawing, and tinkering.

Surviving are his five children, Lisa (Dan) Griffin, Donna (Danny) Holt, Nancy (Robert) Tackett, William (Deanna) Gardener, Jeff (Cathy) Gardner; one sister, Madelyn Schauer; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Gardener; his parents, William and Mildred Gardner; two brothers; and one sister.

He will be cremated per his wishes.
