Gene Buchanan

Gene Buchanan, 88, of Lone Oak passed away Saturday evening at Parkview Nursing and Rehab of Paducah.
He was a retired railroad worker for Illinois Central railroad with 39 years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann of Lone Oak; one son, Ricky Lee Buchanan of Memphis, Tn.; one daughter, Kathy Jean Staggs of Boca Raton, Fl.; one brother, Ben Buchanan of Paducah; one sister, Ann Rayl of Paducah; one grandchild, Taylor Buchanan, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Lillis Elliott Buchanan; one son, Randy Dean Buchanan; and five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 to 1pm at Lindsey Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 1pm on Tuesday following visitation with Pastor Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
