George Carlton Tabor Sr., 71 of Paducah passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Tabor was a retired store manager with Tractor Supply, and was also employed by Airgas of Paducah. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a Mason, and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Scottsville, KY. Born in Scottsville, KY, he lived in Bowling Green for many years.
Surviving are one son, Kevin L. Tabor of Paducah; one brother, Jim Tabor of Bowling Green; one sister, Wanda Thomas of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren, Karla Renee Tabor, Christian Blake Tabor and Carson Blaine Tabor, all of Paducah; as well as one great granddaughter, Addison Haley of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Borders, and one son, George Carlton Tabor Jr. His parents were George Cardell and Catherine Tabor.
Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Liberty Church Cemetery in Scottsville.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, and after 10:00 am Wednesday, at Lindsey Funeral Home.
