George Ray Woodford

George Ray Woodford, 78, of Metropolis passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Woodford was a retired mechanic and of the Pentecostal Faith. In his free time, he enjoyed race cars and his dogs.
Surviving are two sons, Dallas Woodford Sr. of Paducah, Terry Woodford of Paducah; two daughters, Linda Ray of Paducah, Tammy Underburger of Metropolis; three sisters, Barbara Ford, Joyce Carmen, Wilma Hooper all of Paducah; one brother, Glen Woodford of Paducah; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Mary Woodford; two sons, Donald Woodford and George Baker; one brother; one sister; and one great-grandson, Dallas Woodford III.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Balentine officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Graves County.
